The regulatory machinery does not rest. In the midst of the tortuous implementation of MiFID II, the new GDPR data protection regulation, the transposition of the EU directive on non-financial reporting or the new PSD2 payment services regime, the revised EU shareholder rights directive SRD II has started to roll. By June 2019, member states will have to transpose the new obligations for listed companies, intermediaries, proxy advisors and, above all, institutional investors into their local laws.
